Semi Flush Mount Ceiling Fixture, Heavy Cast Iron, Refinished Charcoal Black, c1917, Attic, Hallway, Bedroom, Kitchen, Entryway.

The past century has taken a toll on this heavy cast iron semi flush fixture and has been taken apart to its smallest piece, abrasive stripped, and refinished in charcoal black. The brass casing of the 'fat boy' 1910's sockets are stripped and re-finished as well with new wiring and insulators. Perfect fixture for standard size ceilings. An acid washed copper shaft accompanies the fixture (verdigris).

Measures 13 inches across and extends 12 inches from ceiling to the end of finial.

The original brass encased 'Fat-boy" sockets are re-wired with UL Listed wiring, inspected and tested. New insulators installed. Use standard size bulbs, up to 65w, not included. Modern mounting hardware included for simple installation. (A dimmer switch creates a wonderful appeal with clear bulbs and allows for adjustable mood setting. Dimmer switches can be purchased at any hardware store and typically cost $15-23).
