1905/07 Wall Sconce, Antique Cast Iron with Carrying Candle Handle, Restored/Rewired, Ready to Install, Markel (M.E.P.)

Many cast iron fixtures do not survive grandpa's shed without substantial rust destroying the finish. These two sconces were in pretty good condition considering over 100years in age. This wall sconce features a candle handle... perhaps something to recognize for those who purchased it to be representative of no longer needing to carry a candle to light your path through a dark house. We take for granted what is was like 130 years: A flip-of-a-switch lights our way today. 130 years prior requires a match and no wind.

The original 1905/07 socket is rewired with Ul listed wiring, fully inspected and tested. Modern mounting hardware included and ready to install. The short candelabra cover is original and in pretty good condition, especially considering its age. The 1940's bulb depicted in the photos is not included. Really cool bulbs are difficult to find and you can search 1000bulbs.com or utilize a half-shade. Use standard size bulbs, not included. A high-grade finish applied to protect polychrome and restoration.
