Consolidated Glass Company 'Modernizer', Liliac with Floral Motif, 1929, Restored and Ready to Install

Sorry, this item has sold.

We believe antique lights are the jewels of early 1900's homes, and whether you are restoring your early century home or desiring to add antique lighting, this perfectly restored 1929 'Modernizer' semi flush slip shade chandelier manufactured by Consolidated Glass Company is no exception.

The beautiful American depression era 'Modernizer' fixture is designed by Reuben Haley for the Consolidated Lamp & Glass Company, Coraopolis, PA. The design patent was issued on March 5, 1929 for Haley's remarkable glass shades, which are a uniquely-shaped pressed glass with detailed floral motifs and geometric angular lines throughout. Haley designed three of the most extensive lines of art deco glassware to be produced for the consolidated glass company's art glassware division from 1926-1933, featuring prominent and striking geometric and angular lines in colors such as topaz, jade, lilac, and sunshine.

The glass shades are in excellent condition considering age. One small chip present at fitter but not noticeable nor interferes with function.

measures 12 inches in diameter and extends 9 inches from ceiling. Mounting hardware included for simple installation. The single socket is wired with UL Listed wiring, inspected and tested during photography.
